Illustrative visual-system engagements

The narratives below are anonymised and illustrative — hypothetical or composite engagements that show how we approach brand visual systems. We do not display fabricated client logos, invented partnerships, or fake metrics. Outcomes depend on brief, budget, and how imagery is deployed; past work is not a promise of future performance.

The brief arrived as a folder of Pinterest saves and a product line launching in eight weeks. Packaging existed; everything else — social, web hero, retail POS — was inconsistent greyboxes. We ran a two-day direction session in Mount Pleasant, built a moodboard-to-output map, and trained a house-style model on the client's product photography and cleared botanical reference library. Generative AI produced a spectrum of variations for hero imagery and pattern backgrounds; our art directors selected directions, retouchers fixed label legibility and colour drift, and we shipped a social visual kit with 60 on-brand frames in the first batch. The client retained usage rights to deliverables; trained model weights stayed under studio governance for the retainer term. We disclosed AI involvement in their brand guidelines appendix.

A social visual kit for a Canadian fintech

This engagement started with a brand that looked like five different companies across LinkedIn, app store screenshots, and investor decks. The marketing lead needed a consistent look and feel without hiring three illustrators. We defined an art-direction framework — cool neutrals, geometric accent shapes, human-centre compositions with specific crop rules — and fine-tuned a diffusion pipeline on their existing campaign assets and licensed stock. Batch generation ran weekly through our image pipeline with prompt engineering templates the internal team could request variations from. Human QA caught text artefacts and unintended likeness matches before each delivery. Retainer scope: ongoing content visuals at scale with monthly style-guardrail reviews. We do not guarantee engagement or conversion outcomes; the work aimed for visual consistency, not virality.

Illustrative · Vancouver marketplace

A seasonal campaign world for a Vancouver marketplace

A local marketplace needed a summer campaign visual language — hero key visuals, vendor spotlights, email headers, and environmental graphics — without a six-week photoshoot schedule. We built a campaign visual world from reference images of the neighbourhood and cleared vendor photography, using img2img workflows and inpainting to place products in consistent lighting environments. Outpainting extended compositions for billboard crops; upscaling prepared print-ready files. Senior retouchers unified colour grading across 40+ deliverables. All references were client-owned or licensed; no real individuals appeared without consent. The engagement included IP documentation and AI disclosure copy for the client's legal review. Illustrative timeline: direction in week one, first batch in week two, refinements through week four.

Illustrative · DTC home goods

Pattern and texture systems for a DTC home-goods line

A direct-to-consumer home-goods brand needed repeatable textile-inspired patterns for packaging variants and web backgrounds — dozens of SKUs, one visual DNA. We developed a graphic system trained on their fabric swatches and past season photography, generating pattern variations with composition control and a strict palette lock. Each pattern passed human review for unintended moiré, scale issues, and brand conflicts. Deliverables included a style document, prompt library, and batch-generation SOP the client's in-house designer could follow. Project scope was fixed-fee in CAD; ownership of trained styles negotiated in the statement of work. This is studio craft — not a self-serve app subscription.

Our studio provides creative image-generation and art-direction services with human review and retouching. Generative-AI images can contain errors or artefacts; we correct and finish by hand but do not guarantee specific style matches, reach, or business outcomes. Clients are responsible for how final imagery is used.
